Dhela Zone included in Corbett Tiger Reserve zone November 2014. It’s sixth eco - tourism zone of Corbett National Park and become fully functional for tourists to enjoy jeep safari. This is the only area in the reserve's buffer zone open to tourists in CTR. Except Dhela other safari zone of Corbett Tiger Reserve are Bijrani, Jhirna, Durgadevi, Sonanadi and Dhikala. All are situated in core area of Corbett National Park and opens 15th October to 15th June every year. Dhela zone will open round of the year except the rainy days. Corbett Tiger Reserve is planning to create two nature trails to walk inside the forest; each will be around 2.5Kms long. It will be a great opportunity for the wildlife adventure enthusiast and photographers to walk inside the forest and feel the wildlife very closely.

Dhela zone is famous for its wealthy flora and fauna. It has mixed forests such as Saal, Rohini, Bahera, Haldu, Jamun, Kusum etc. The main wild animals of this zone are Tiger, Leopard, Asiatic Elephant, and Sloth Bears, Barking Deer, Chital Deer, Sambhar Dear, Wild Boar, Langoor and many others. More than 10 species of reptiles and around 400 species of birds are found inside this zone.

WILDLIFE SAFARI AT DHELA ZONE

For tourists open jeep safari is the single option to visit Dhela zone. Corbett Tiger Reserve provide permits to visit this zone. Jeep safari timings are 6:30 Am. in morning and 2:30 Pm in after noon. During summer visiting timing shifts 30 minutes before. Only registered jeeps are allowed to enter inside this CTR zone.
